As I grow older I realise that our fears deeply motivate us.

Fear of failure. Fear of neglect. Fear of non acceptance.

These all motivate us in a negative way.

As we age, through humiliation, collided egos and traumatic experiences we slowly lose the ability to dust ourselves off.

At some point the fear of failure over rides the desire to succeed at something.

When we‘re younger learning to ride a bike we would fall off 100 times, dust ourselves off and go again.

When was the last time you failed at something 10 times or even 5.

Every time you face a set back in life on a new thing we tend to add it to the tally of old things we’ve failed at instead of starting a new list.

Every single experience you’ve been through affects you in one way or another.

But it doesn’t steer you.

I know 100 people with lives 10 times rougher then I’ve had.

10 times less for fortunate.

But still 10 times the character. 10 times the man or woman. 10 times the confidence.

These people who succeed in life with huge set back after huge setback are no different to anyone else.

They just remembered how to keep dusting themselves off….
